Project Summary
As a community-based health center, Hāmākua-Kohala Health provides comprehensive primary and preventative healthcare to persons of all ages, regardless of their ability to pay or health insurance status.
“With the opportunities brought forth by Vibrant Hawaiʻi, our youth council of nearly 20 students (8th grade to 12th grade) were able to come together and train, learn, grow, and ultimately put their skills to use by talking to lawmakers, presenting in their schools, and bringing awareness to the harmful effects of vaping and the importance of keeping our kino healthy and our mind strong.”
