Project Summary
Host workshops in the Puna/Hilo area teaching residents how to select, grow, and utilize native plants that are available in the local nursery trade. Hands-on seed-planting activity.
"We were able to offer two opportunities during the Ohiʻa Love Fest. 40 people attended the workshops to learn about ohiʻa, ROD, and proper planting and care for the Keiki trees they took home. Each participant received an adoption certificate for their newly potted ohiʻa. We also had more than 100 attendees participate in crafts, games, educational activities, and moʻolelo storytelling."
