About the Event

The March Housing Coalition meeting will take place in person at the Kaloko Heights Affordable Housing project.

The Hawaiʻi Island Community Development Corporation (HICDC) is a non-profit housing developer that is specifically serving the island of Hawaii and has coordinated the development of 412 low-income rental units, 174 subdivision lots, and 361 mutual self-help housing units on Hawaii Island. The mission focus of HICDC is to facilitate the development of housing for low- and moderate-income households through direct development and self-help development coordination.

One of their current projects is in West Hawaiʻi, The Kaloko Heights Affordable Housing project.  It is a multi-family affordable rental project of 100 units that will provide affordable housing units for households with children.  It is located on the Kohala side (north side) of Hina Lani Street on approximately 11 acres of land and is scheduled to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2024.
