On Tuesday, March 19th, Vibrant Hawaiʻi will host a Summit to launch the Resilience Alliance, a network of Hawai'i Island nonprofit organizations and businesses committed to building resilience and preparedness in the case of emergency. The Summit, held at the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo, will feature presentations tailored for our social service and business community to support their emergency operation planning, human resources, and executive and fiscal personnel who can benefit from understanding FEMA disaster reimbursement programs. The Resilience Alliance is led by former Civil Defense Administrator, Darryl Oliveira

They ability activate as a coordinated network has resulted in efficient and equitable distribution of resources, and increased resilience for families islandwide. Our local businesses have always been a part of these initiatives, and this is the right time to formally recognize and invest in our nonprofit organizations and businesses who play a critical role in each phase of disaster management."
