Our Social Service Navigators recently attended the 2025 Hawaiʻi Island Healthcare Conference, a gathering that brought together leaders, changemakers, and community members from across the island. The goal was clear: explore innovative solutions, strengthen partnerships, and work toward a healthier, more connected future for everyone on Hawaiʻi Island.
“As a Social Service Navigator, attending the Hawaiʻi Island Healthcare Conference was important to understand how our work benefits everyone invested in healthcare,” said Leah Lindsey, Kona Social Service Navigator. “Healthcare is everywhere, and we each hold a place to serve with compassion—from the receptionist to the cardiologist. When we come together in unity and partnership, a healthier community will emerge.”
Healthcare is changing rapidly, and the past year has highlighted just how interconnected our systems are. From federal policy shifts to local care challenges, the impact is felt across families, clinics, and communities. The 3rd Annual Hawaiʻi Island Healthcare Conference created a space for these conversations—bringing people together to share insights, identify challenges, and find practical ways to support healthcare on the island.
Mahalo to Hawaiʻi Community First for putting together an incredible conference and ensuring we are navigating the future of healthcare together.
