Our Vibrant Hawai'i Ambassadors recently had the opportunity to engage in a transformative workshop designed to equip them with trauma-informed strategies.

Led by Efern Berrones and Kyle-Ann Bobo, of the Oʻahu Youth Action Board, and Sarah Billings, Director of Community Strategies at the National Network for Youth, the workshop emphasized the importance of authentic engagement. As youth are the foremost experts on their own lives, when they are involved in decision-making processes, outcomes are not only improved - they are also more sustainable.

"This workshop was a powerful reminder to create programs in partnership with youth, not just for them. That's the key to unlock bold and creative solutions and transform the systems that shape our lives. True change begins with shared power." Nyka-Rae Laeda, Vibrant Hawaiʻi Ambassador

Mahalo nui to the Hawai'i Youth Services Network for facilitating this impactful workshop and providing our Ambassadors with the opportunity to learn and help shape a brighter, more equitable future for themselves and their communities.
