Vibrant Hawaiʻi Youth Art Fellows came together for creative exploration, skill-building, and personal growth. This special event offered an incredible opportunity for the fellows to connect with local artists and gain valuable tools for both their artistic journeys and personal well-being.

Art Fellows explored native plant dye techniques with former fellow Avalon Paradea, gaining hands-on experience with local plants to create vibrant dyes. Local artist Kristen Jordan also led a session, inspiring the fellows to think about art as a tool for personal expression and community impact. The day wrapped up with Nicole Gelhbach-Wilson, who shared valuable mental health and self-care tools to help the fellows manage stress and build resilience.

We are deeply grateful for the knowledge shared by Avalon, Kristen, and Nicole, and we look forward to seeing how the fellows continue these practices. Their journey as young artists promises to be one filled with exploration, empowerment, and connection to both themselves and their communities.
